FREE Tennis Lessons (Ages 5 -8)

Curtis will be running Tennis for Kids sessions as follows;

Sundays 10:30 to 11:30 & 11:45 to 12:45 (Age 5 – 8) – commencing April 23rd for 6 weeks
Tuesdays 18:00 to 19:00 (Ages 5 – 8) – commencing April 25th for 6 weeks
Wednesdays 16:30 to 17:30 (Ages 5-8) – commencing April 26th for 6 weeks

LTA Lev3 Coach

Curtis passed his recent LTA assessment and is now a fully qualified LTA Lev3 Coach – Congratulations & Well Done Curtis !!

Benenden Festival “Aussie Open” – Junior Fun Tennis

Curtis will be running the first of the 2017 Benenden Festival events on Monday 13th February between 1:30 and 3:30pm at Kirby – cost £5 per person.  The theme for this event is the “Aussie Open” and it would be great to see as many mini/junior players as possible – once again there will be fun games and competitions – with lots of prizes to be won.

Club sessions continue all winter

Even the early morning frost didn’t deter players to this Monday’s morning session, and as the sun strengthened and warmed the courts, the players were soon rewarded with beautiful playing conditions.

Tennis for Kids 2017

Curtis has been chosen to run two Davis Cup Legacy Programme 2017 events at Kirby Tennis Club – see Tennis for Kids for more details.  Curtis will confirm dates in the New Year once he has completed the training programme.

Halloween “Monster Smash” – Fun Tennis Competition

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Halloween “Monster Smash” fun tennis competition at Kirby on Saturday 29th October – 20 children between the ages of 5 and 14 took part in fun games and competitions – winning prizes along the way. The courts and clubhouse were decorated accordingly and afterwards the youngsters tucked into some Halloween treats.

Winter League

We are entering one Mens and one Mixed team in this year’s Winter League. Matches are at either Kirby or Wivenhoe on Monday or Wednesday evenings starting from the beginning of October.

EGM for mast proposal Tue 20th Sep

All members are invited to attend a general meeting on Tuesday 20th September 7.30pm in our clubhouse to discuss and vote on the Mast Proposal.
